Sharing our journey
Salem Lake
in
Winter
~~~
This waterfall is said to be named after
Chief Shunkawauken.
It falls 150 feet down White Oak Mountain.
The road to the falls is full
of hairpin turns
and there is not really a
safe place to park, so be careful
if you visit.
We visited the Zoo
in Greenville, SC this past weekend.
The Brazilian Ocelots were
both asleep the first time we walked through.
Fortunately, we decided to make one more go-round.
Thought about this photo last night,
so I’m re-posting from 2009
